The most important finds are housed in the small Museo Prehistórico. Human habitation moved into the prehistory of Orce to nearby Galera, where archaeologists uncovered "Castellon Alto", a settlement from the Bronze Age. This site dates from 1800v.C., was only discovered in 1983 and was completely restored in 2002. At this settlement and on the mound "Necropolis of Tùtugi" on the other side of the village, several mummified bodies were found from this period. Centrepiece of the local museum is a replica of the statue in Galera known as the 'Goddess of Galera ", the original of which is in the National Archaeological Museum in Madrid. The statue represents a goddess with a kind of winged lion and does vaguely reminiscent of sculptures that were found in the eastern part of the Mediterranean. The alabaster sculpture from the fifth century BC was found in a tumulus mound at the necropolis of Tùtugi.
